Travel the experience

This is one of the largest bazaars I have seen, and it is so long that I was really tired by the end and wished it would end sooner!
The Grand Bazaar of Isfahan, also known as the Qaysarieh Bazaar, extends from Naqsh-e Jahan Square to the Jame Mosque (Old Mosque). This bazaar was built 400 years ago during the Safavid era.
One of the interesting things about this bazaar is that almost every trade had its own mosque and school, and some of these mosques still exist and are in use.
A number of sara and timcheh can also be seen in the bazaar, many of which are still beautiful and tastefully working!
What was interesting to me was seeing a large number of old saqqakhones along the bazaar, which today quench thirsty passersby with water coolers, and some of them are several hundred years old.
The Alliance School, which was the location of the TV series Majideh's Stories, also has a path through this bazaar, but it is currently abandoned and apparently going to be renovated.
